Age Limitation (Senior Event)

Each player must attain at least 65 years of age during the calendar year 2026. Therefore, participants must have been born in or before 1961.

Event Format

Team Events

  • Teams compete in a round-robin qualification stage.
  • Top-ranked teams advance to the semi-finals.
  • Semi-final winners qualify for the finals.
  • Matches are scored using IMPs and Victory Points.

Pairs Events

  • Conducted over qualification and final sessions.
  • Pairs are ranked based on Matchpoint scoring.
  • Top-performing pairs qualify for the final round.
  • Open only to registered championship participants.

System Notes

Each team captain is responsible for ensuring that the convention cards for his team are submitted in PDF format, to asiacupgoa@gmail.com and also to upload the system in the portal, as soon as possible, but in any event on or before 7 June 2026. as per scoc.


Changes to Cards/Supplementary Sheets

  1. Any changes to the duly submitted (as per section 15.2) Card and/or Supplementary Sheets must be submitted in official form (see (e) below) as early as possible for everyone's benefit, but in any event no later than 20 June 2026.

Important Notes

All teams shall compete in a complete round-robin format consisting of 14-board matches. The round-robin stage will commence on Monday, 22 June and conclude on Wednesday, 24 June.

At the end of the round-robin stage, the top four teams, based on the highest number of Victory Points (VPs), will qualify for the semi-finals. The semi-finals will consist of 48 boards, played with carry-over scores.

The semi-final matchups shall be as follows:

  • The 1st-placed team will play against the 4th-placed team.
  • The 2nd-placed team will play against the 3rd-placed team.

Each semi-final will be played over three segments of 16 boards each.

The winning teams from the semi-finals will advance to the final, which will also consist of 48 boards with carry-over, played in three segments of 16 boards each.

The team that wins the final will be declared the Gold Medallist.

Other Details

The prescribed entry fees (as specified in Section 23) for the Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Senior Teams shall be paid either through the official payment link available on the championship website or in cash at the venue.

All entry fees must be received on or before 21st June 2026. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in the team’s entry being declined or deemed ineligible to participate, at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
